There is a simple act, of old time, which today can change the future: to plant a tree.
In 2025 A2O WATERan Italian company that designs and manages water infrastructure, has chosen to do it in style: 200 new trees planted, together with local partners, to turn sustainability into a shared history that combines environment, community and resilience to climate.
“Every tree planted is a micro–social project: create opportunities, protection of biodiversity and tells who we are,” underline by the company.
🌍 Why planting a tree is an investment in the future
The trees are natural infrastructures: absorb CO₂, regenerate the soil, improve air quality and protect biodiversity. But their strength goes beyond the environment: they become social toolscapable of generating income, integration, training, and inclusion.
Thanks to the program of 2025, A2O WATER has achieved concrete:
- 400 trees planted in 10 Countries with over 22 different species (including coffee, cocoa, avocado, and papaya).
- 8.102 m2 of new tree cover.
- 88.475 kg of CO₂ absorbed.
🎯 The Agenda for the UN to rural villages
It is not only green. Each tree contributes to six Sustainable Development Goals Agenda 2030 UN:
- to overcome poverty,
- provide quality education,
- promote gender equality,
- create decent work,
- to reduce inequalities,
- strengthen local partnerships.
And the change is measured in the field: in Kenya, Madagascar, and Nepal the impact of the projects agroforestry has been analyzed with the support of ALTIS – Università Cattolica, who has documented benefits in terms of training, well-being and development of the community.

To ensure that every promise becomes a reality, A2O WATER relies on Treedompartner certificate B Corpadopting the methods of measuring recognized at the international level (B Impact Assessment). Each plant is geo-localised and traceablewith the data available in real time on the absorption of CO₂ and the benefits generated.

For a company that takes care of the water cycle, reforestation is not a project accessory: it is a natural extension of its mission. The trees protect the areas of groundwater recharge, reduce erosion and improve soil quality.
